Poetry at Sangam

SangamHouse

April 2013

Volume I | Issue 1

Each month, we shall upload the work of two poets, six poems each.

This month we are delighted to present poems by Anjum Hasan and Ravi Shankar. Anjum’s poetry is known for its tone of ironic elegance and her recreation of the everyday under lucent scrutiny; her passion for dissecting minutiae – be it a flower bud or a wash-line – is shaded in humour and reflectiveness. Ravi’s poems range over a vast terrain in terms of voice, style, atmospherics and theme; the formal rigour and experimental élan in his poems are absorbed and mingled to exquisite and moving effect.

Additionally, the indomitable Poetrywala’s recent imprints are featured in New Releases, as are calls for an anthology and an award in Announcements. Take a look.

Do mail news about submission calls and new book releases to priya.sangampoetry@gmail.com. We’ll be happy to feature these on our pages.
